GILMOUR REP DENIES REPORTS OF FLOYD REUNION AT OLYMPICS

Rumors that Pink Floyd would be performing at the this year's Olympics were quashed this week when a representative for David Gilmour contacted NME stating simply, "<em>There is no truth in recent media speculation about Pink Floyd reuniting to perform for the 2012 London Olympics.</em>" The report originally surfaced in the Daily Express, a British tabloid, that the band would reunite for the closing ceremonies. A similar rumor that the Rolling Stones would make an appearance was previously dismissed by Mick Jagger.
