GILMOUR REP DENIES REPORTS OF FLOYD REUNION AT OLYMPICS

Rumors that Pink Floyd would be performing at the this year's Olympics were quashed this week when a representative for David Gilmour contacted NME stating simply, "There is no truth in recent media speculation about Pink Floyd reuniting to perform for the 2012 London Olympics." The report originally surfaced in the Daily Express, a British tabloid, that the band would reunite for the closing ceremonies. A similar rumor that the Rolling Stones would make an appearance was previously dismissed by Mick Jagger.
