	<title>'RUSH DAY'</title>
	<description>
For most people today is simply the start of another month but Rush and progressive metal fans worldwide are celebrating today's date 2-1-12 as 'Rush Day' in honor of the Canadian trio's album '2112'. Jeff Wagner, author of the book 'Mean Deviation: Four Decades of Progressive Heavy Metal' has called '2112' "probably the first album that can rightfully be called progressive metal," and along with other Rush fanatics is encouraging fans to "blast the album from the rooftops, from our cars, from our iPods, from everywhere, to celebrate this landmark album and Rush's incredible longevity and lasting influence." As RushRadio points out, even though we're 100 years away from 2112 this is the closest that we'll get to celebrating 2112 in our lifetime - therefore RushRadio.org is hosting the world's largest streaming Rush listening party tonight at 9:12 (in your time zone). They invite fans from across the globe to join in an online chat as they "crank this epic album and fill the world with [their] music."
Happy Rush Day!
