While walking through the I <3 Originals sim on Saturday, I realized that many of the designers were ones that I enjoy blogging. I thought it would be nice to give them all a little thank you this week by featuring some of their stuffs.

Emma Gilmour of Sand & Surf Co. probably epitomizes to me what is meant by an original. Her work is hand drawn and if ever you wondered what the difference between photo sourced and hand drawn is, then take a look at her jeans. They are just a superb rendering of textures, light and dark, with all the appearance of having been washed multiple times. Then get in close and you notice that everything is drawn by hand! This pose is from Glitterati, one of the second Headshot series.

I am featuring skins this week from 5th & Oxford, and though their stuffs aren’t in the fair, Roslin Petion and CJ Carnot’s skins have always been such an excellent example of skins that though hybrid, still rely on hand drawn quality.

Dark Mouse also has some new stuffs which are featured at the fair. The beach bag is full of detail and perfect for one who doesn’t pack light! The Jewellery set is very pretty, I love the blue-silver combination. And the belt is very well textured and fits over the hips (and I don’t change my shape for anything…face yes but shape no..). In light of a certain win I thought it would be nice to take a walk through N’Orleans. If I ever get there I would think this outfit perfect for strolling down Bourbon Street.

Wow…it’s probably been a year or more the last time I did any outfit for my casual apparel brand. But then again, my brain was starting to protest and I figured I’d try something new. Besides I needed more Blender practice anyway. I’m no where near as any of my idols though, but hopefully I’d learn a few more tricks or two.

Maybe I should really learn Blender from the very beginning..it might help me understand this whole 3D thing better. :p

This is a plaid dress shirt, with an empire cut to give it that baby-doll type look. It can be worn as a stand-alone dress, or as a blouse over capris, jeans and even leggings.

The outfit comes with the following: blouse (shirt & jacket), glitchpants, sculpy sleeves, sculpted collar with frills and buttons, and sculpty skirt.

You can choose six (6) colors: Apricot, Algae, Bad Violet, Dark Blue, Teal and Weird (I know I got tired naming them and I couldn’t think of anything else).

Each costs L$95 and a fatpack at L$450.

All items are COPY / MODIFY / NO TRANSFER.

Eventually I’ll be boxing them up for XStreet, I haven’t set it up before since I forgot. >_> Also I’ll be planning to set up a lucky board instead of a Lucky Chair for my gift/prize items.

You can't have any kind of Cybercouture show in SL without one of the most forefront names in the genre, +DV8+. So of course they were right up the top of my list. I asked Vasha Martinek whether she was in, and the answer was a definate YES. And she created the amazing Razor Girl outfit that came with more options than my prim peen. I raved over this, of course - as you can see in Terry's blog it's terrific. Then a couple of days later the other creator in +DV8+ Dysturbed Sin dropped a male outfit on me, Cybermancer. I HAD NO IDEA. And I think I came close to actually humping his leg on the spot.

There are a lot of lingerie being sold this time a year. I thought I’d show off one of my favorite underwear pieces from Urbanity. It comes on all layers and in assorted colors. The Angelina underwear has a whole girl next door appeal of it to me which makes it sexy. I paired it up with different colors of hair from I Love Olive. This is their current hair style called Milla and it’s a fave.

Lourdes’ SLife of Luxury: Biker Memorials and Aoharu

This weekend I was obligated to attend a memorial of a friend of a friend’s partner (I am horribly simplifying it) who passed on last week. The guy had founded a biker club. Even though Don and I had only met the guy once for a brief moment. We endured the awkward moments (two hours) paying tribute to a man we didn’t know. Luckily for me this was a great opportunity to go shopping, because I didn’t have proper biker funeral attire. Yes, I am shameless.

Aoharu sometime ago, released the Roll-up Rider’s jacket and the Leather Riders Boots. This was the perfect opportunity to pick them up and also the Lace Crash Denim jeans. We all know what a nightmare it is to navigate Aoharu’s shop but everything was on the first or second row. Who knows what other gems I may have passed up but I just couldn’t be bothered. That store need a major make over for finding things. But all in all I must say I love the clothes and shoes Aoharu releases.
So enough chatter and on to the pics.
